What if I only process a couple of credit cards in the first month of my business? Is that enough of a reason to establish a merchant account with a credit card charging company? Should I just tell the customers for the first couple of months of business that we will soon have the ability to charge, but up until then we need to find another form of payment? I recently did find a credit card company that has relatively low rates for charging but what if I do not have the volume that would require a processing unit at all?
