Austin bunionectomy For Mild Bunions
January 28th, 2010 by admin
An enlargement on the dorsal and medial side of the big toe joint is the condition what we called Bunions. They may be painful from show pressure and from arthritis inside the joint. The big toes usually bend over toward the lesser toes. The only satisfactory methods of getting rid of bunions are through surgery. An austin bunionectomy is needed when it is only mild. The bone close to the big toe joint is cut and shifted sideways to a corrected position. To hold the bone in place these surgical screws are used. It is reserved for the more minor cases, as there is a limit to how much bone can be moved.
