It Is Raining Toaster Ovens!

Lately, there’ve been winds that smell like seawater even though we’re hundreds of miles away from the nearest beach, and double rainbows have appeared without it having rained beforehand! Yesterday, the sky darkened rapidly, as if for a major thunderstorm. Lightning flashed and thunder boomed amidst the seething, roiling clouds. Then, the best toaster ovens began falling out of the sky, smashing on the street when they landed. I saw the logo on one of the pieces. One of the falling appliances fell on Mrs. Mulligan’s dog while the rest of us, completely shocked, ran for cover away from the strange rain. I won’t miss Yappy. He was smelly, unfriendly and very loud.
