Handling sessions at the British Museum

Museums when I was young were always places that you went to stare at things through panes of glass in dimly lit halls. It has become much more interactive nowadays, though. I found out recently, for example, that you can go along to handling sessions at the British Museum and literally get a feel for some of the objects and pieces they have to offer. You can also get your questions answered by volunteers so the experience is a lot more flexible. It’s a great opportunity to really make the most of the museum’s excellent collection.
