We rented a motorcycle and visited historical sites and temples, saw a lot of strange birds (vultures, cranes, kingfishers and an owl) and prepared us for when the crossing over to India ……. who went remarkably smoothly. We exchanged our surplus Nepalese rupees in India, and spent a bit of a taxi to Gorakhpur, 70 km away from the Trains From Lucknow. Gorakhpur is a dirty, too busy town.
